About Adamah Design
I offer architectural and landscape design for new and existing homes, weaving together indoor and outdoor spaces and transforming your dreams into tangible plans.
I listen to you, your rhythms, your vision, your ideas of what feels like home, and to the land itself. Together we’ll craft something that belongs.
Services Offered
Every project centers efficiencies in energy and space, landscapes that thrive in our environment, and design that works with the terrain instead of against it.
When it comes to your home, the best design lies at the intersection of your rhythm of life and the framework of the land. New construction, additions, and remodels designed for efficiency in energy and space, so your home performs as well as it feels.
Budget-minded landscape plans designed to fulfill the needs of new application requirements. With wildfire presenting an increasing threat throughout the western US, Colorado is rolling out a new Wildfire Resiliency Code in 2026, informed by the IWUIC, Firewise principles, and the Home Ignition Zone Guide.
Yards transformed into spaces that are inviting, purposeful, and beautiful. Designs that center native, drought tolerant, and pollinator friendly plantings, chosen to thrive in our stunning yet challenging high desert climate. Existing thirsty yards reimagined as waterwise landscapes.
My Approach
My job is to help you focus your vision of home into something tangible.
I practice nature-informed design, creating spaces that work with the terrain instead of against it, while anticipating nature’s rhythms and challenges.
Together, we create the roadmap that leads you home.
Discovery
We start with what you already have. Photos, sketches, a survey, floor plans, HOA rules, design details you love. None of these are required, but everything is useful.
Next I’ll visit the land, ideally together. I want to see where your home will live. Are there views or privacy needs? How varied is the topography? How will you access the home? Where will utilities enter from? The site tells its own story, and it’s important to listen.
Development
Here, the real work begins. I synthesize everything we’ve gathered into an initial concept, presented in both 2D and 3D, so we can communicate clearly and visualize the home we’re creating together. From there, I take your feedback and make revisions for as long as it takes to get it right.
The construction world can feel like uncharted territory. Think of me as your guide, one step ahead, clearing the path while checking in with you the whole time.
Beyond
A great design is just the beginning. To get through the planning phase and secure a building permit, you’ll need a team of professionals in your corner. I’ll connect you with the people you need, from structural and geotechnical engineers to surveyors and well drillers.
Whenever possible, I’ll also connect you with the contractors you need to move forward, whether that’s a builder who will do it all or individual tradespeople for specific pieces of work.
Investment
As an independent designer rather than a full architectural firm, I’m able to keep my fees as low as possible without compromising the quality of the work.
I don’t create construction budgets, but I do set realistic expectations around project costs and flag any design choices that carry a higher price tag, so you can decide where you want to spend your money.

About Me
I founded Adamah Design in 2019 after building my own home from the ground up. That experience gave me a thorough introduction to each piece of the construction process and a deep appreciation for how overwhelming it can be. Today, it is a genuine pleasure and privilege to guide others through it.
I practice nature-informed design, rooted in a simple but deeply held belief that dismantling the boundaries between our built and natural environments eases tension and increases understanding. Whether starting from bare land or transforming an existing space, the goal is always the same: to invite you into closer relationship with the land you inhabit.
The built and the natural should speak the same language.
In 2022, I took that philosophy a step further. I moved to Southern Colorado and built an all-electric, solar-powered Hemp-Lime home. Hemp-Lime, also known as Hempcrete, is a remarkable building material. It stores thermal energy while it insulates, resists fire, mold, and pests, improves indoor air quality, and sequesters carbon in the process. While it isn’t right for every project, I value being able to contribute to the accessibility of this still emerging industry and bring that knowledge to clients who are curious about it.
Common Questions
No. I design for new construction, additions, and remodels. Whether you’re starting from bare land or reimagining an existing place, the goal is always the same – a home that flows with how you live and honors the land it sits on.
I’m an independent designer, not a general contractor. I’ll connect you with the contractors, engineers, and tradespeople you need to bring your design to life. Many of my clients work with builders I’ve already partnered with on past projects.
Hemp-Lime, also called Hempcrete, is a bio-composite building material that stores thermal energy while it insulates, resists fire, mold, and pests, improves indoor air quality, and sequesters carbon. It isn’t right for every project, but I love to share what I’ve learned from building with Hemp-Lime to see if it’s right for your home.
I primarily serve Huerfano, Las Animas, and Custer Counties as well as the San Luis Valley, Salida, Pueblo, Colorado Springs, and northern New Mexico. If you’re outside this area and curious whether we could work together, please reach out.
Every project is different, but as an independent designer I keep my fees as low as possible without compromising quality. I don’t create construction budgets, but I do set realistic expectations and flag design choices that carry a higher price tag. The best next step is a free discovery call, where we can talk specifics.
Discovery calls are free and there’s no obligation. Let’s talk about your land, your vision, and whether we’re the right fit for each other.
